The bracelet is a tribute to Antigone, protagonist of Sophocles' tragedy of the same name.
A figure of resistance and determination, Antigone defies the law to remain true to what she believes is right, becoming a symbol of justice against all forms of tyranny. At the center of the bracelet is engraved the word θάρσος, which translated from ancient Greek means "courage, intrepidity, audacity, daring, that which inspires bravery, a means to instill courage."
