Venus greeting card

Sale price€3,90

"Born from the foam of the sea, as its name evokes."

The illustration, created in collaboration with artist Miriam Tritto, draws inspiration from the imagery of Venus and from Sandro Botticelli's works The Birth of Venus and Primavera.

The figure is constructed through symbols: the morning star, the deep blue of the sea and sky, the dress that opens like a flower.

An image of harmony, belonging, and rebirth.

Artistic and literary inspiration

Set upon her forehead is the Morning Star, one of her epithets; on either side, two further stars complete the triad of Spring.

The blue evokes the deep waters from which she springs to life and the vast sky in which Venus manifests herself.

Hers is a simple, spiritual, human beauty in which one can recognise oneself. The position of her hand suggests nobility of spirit, self-respect and confidence.

She wears a dress that unfolds like a flower, opening up to a deep blue, a symbol of rebirth, mystery, balance and inner calm.

At the centre of the garment, in gold, is the symbol of Fiori di Mandorlo: the origin of the Rilucere – Act II collection and of the jewellery dedicated to the allegory of Venus, which speaks of belonging, harmony and union with the whole.
