Anamorfosi Earrings

Sale price€149,00

The starting point was encountering Hans Holbein the Younger's painting "The Ambassadors," a Rinascimento work that conceals an enigmatic detail: a distorted skull, visible only from a lateral perspective.

A vision that compels one to move, to change one's point of view.

Thus, in "Anamorfosi," the stone does not look straight ahead.

It is tilted, distorted, and precisely from that different angle, light finds its way.

On the sides, details recall time: hourglasses chasing each other and merging in a continuous rhythm.

"Anamorfosi" is an invitation to look differently, to change perspective, and to find, in the distortions of time, new forms of light.

Artistic and literary inspiration

Anamorphosis is a technique that distorts an image, making it visible only from a specific angle.

In Hans Holbein the Younger’s painting "The Ambassadors", a distorted skull runs across the scene and is revealed only when the viewer shifts their gaze.

It is a detail that compels one to change position, and thus one’s perspective.

The piece was conceived whilst listening to Maurice Ravel’s Boléro and evokes the passage of time. The hourglasses framing the stone chase one another in a continuous movement that grows without interruption.

“Anamorphosis” arises from this encounter between perspective and time.
